The Carrl Myriad Band was formed in Melbourne in the 1970s, and I joined in 1977 replacing Guitarist ANDREW PENDLEBURY. The band at that stage had enjoyed local success in the Melbourne Pub Scene with their quirky folk-rock Carrl Myriad original songs. When I joined the band evolved further into what could be termed as "Bushranger Rock", complete with stage outfits, and stage props.
These 3 songs I found on a cassette tape and they are very rare recordings from 1977 when we went into Yarrabank Studios to record.
The final lineup of the Carrl Myriad Band was:
CARRL MYRIAD - Lead and Backing Vocals, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, Mandocello
ANDREW FORRER - Lead and Backing Vocals, Acoustic and Electric Guitars
PHILLIP SMITH - Lead and Backing Vocals, Drums
MARK FERRIE - Bass
RICHARD DOCTORS - Concertina, Acoustic and Electric Guitars
